This is only a few of the many children in the Tharaka region that would benefit from sponsorship.  These children have all be identified by the children's welfare agency has being in great need and referred to our programme.

Kelvin aged 11, is being raised by an elderly grandmother, as his father is deceased and his mother left both him and his brother to remarry.  Kelvin wants to look after his grandmother and helps about the farm.  His grandmother works hard, but doesn't always have enough money or food, never mind his school fees.

6 year old Phineas is in nursery and has two siblings.  His parents earn their money from casual labour but find it difficult to pay the school fees for three children.  With a little help Phineas will get the education that he needs, and his whole family will benefit from medical insurance and the goat programme 

8 year old Emanuel has been adopted by Jemima, who has 8 children of her own.  His own parents abandoned him. Jemima does her bes to farm and provide for all

the chidren, but quite often the children are sent home from school because the school fees have not been paid.  Sponsorship will really help this family.

Miracle is 6 years of age, his father is deceased and his mother abandoned him with an aging grandmother, who has a small farm, which she manages alone.  The grandmother does her best to look after him but does not always produce enough food, nor does she always have the money for the school fees.

7 year old Evans and his brothers are being raised by their mother only.  The father is rarely at home, and does nothing to help provide for them.  His mother takes on casual labour to ensure the family have food and to pay for the school fees.  Evans is often sent home from school because on non payment of fees.

Caroline, aged 8 has one brother.  Her mother is disabled and so the grandmother has addopted the two children and raises them with another four grandchildren.  Sponsorship will ensure that this whole family will benefit from medical insurance and from the goat rearing programme.
